I can't remember a time when I didn't write. As a child I loved making up stories, and when my children were younger I used to write for them and their classes at school. I didn't imagine I would become a published author, and it has been a wonderful journey since my first novel, The Bad Apple, was published in 2004. I really enjoy creating the different people and places and seeing them take on lives of their own as I write. People often ask me which is my favourite book, and I can always truthfully tell them: the one I am writing now. I put my heart and soul into each and every one. After all, if I don't love my characters and feel what they feel, how could I expect my readers to?

Before becoming a writer, I was a Placement Support Worker and foster carer, and worked in the social services department after completing a teacher training course. Many children have joined my family over the years. I still live in Nuneaton, where many of my books are set, with my husband, Trevor, and our four dogs.

I was thrilled to discover that I've become one of the top 250 most-borrowed library authors in the UK, and would like to thank all of you who have taken out my books over the last few years! I love meeting my readers, and am always pleased to hear from you. I hope you will all continue to get in touch, and please sign up for my newsletter, which will be emailed twice a year, and have lots of news about my books!

With love,

Rosie Goodwin xx
